WELCOME TO TENT UNDER TOTALITY
Seeking an opportunity to stay in a safe, fun and scenic area of the Blue Mountains in Eastern Oregon to witness and experience the 2017 total solar eclipse?
Look no further!
Here at the North Fork John Day Watershed Council, we are excited to offer camping on our lovely, downtown property as a location to experience the solar eclipse for both local folks and visitors alike.
Here at the Watershed Council, we are community focused and landscape reflected.
Which is to say, we offer a diverse array of environmentally, economically and socially beneficial services to our surrounding community - from large-scale watershed restoration projects on public and private lands, ongoing stream and riparian monitoring data collection, to a widespread outreach program that consists of employing up to 60 young people in Grant County to engage with natural resource management and landscape connection, helping to foster a local group of engaged, young stewards for our future planet - we do multi-faceted, community focused environmental work.
By staying on our property during the 2017 solar eclipse, you are helping to proliferate our work, as all proceeds go towards benefiting the work of the Watershed Council.
The surrounding natural landscape of the Malheur and Umatilla National Forests offer bountiful opportunities for mountain and road biking, fishing, hiking and backpacking.
